87: Reflections & Looking Forward 2.0

The Wealthy Mom MD Podcast with Dr. Bonnie Koo | Reflections & Looking Forward 2.0This week, I’m reprising an episode I did at the end of 2020 about how to do a year-end reflection. This is something that I personally do every December, and I believe everybody should be doing this. There are so many things we get excited about planning, like vacations, but how many of us put the same amount of time and energy into planning our lives?

As physicians, we planned the first few years of our training and career, so it’s pretty common for us to revert to autopilot after a while. But right now is the perfect time to reflect and decide what you want for your life moving forward, and so this week, we’re discussing looking back before we take a deep dive into planning in next week’s episode.

Join me on the podcast this week as I share my year-end reflection exercise with you. I’m breaking each step down and showing you how I do this exercise for myself, and I’ll be giving you a very brief update on my own reflections from 2021 (so far).

What You'll Learn from this Episode:

  • How to look back over your year and reflect on the amazing things you’ve done.
  • Why it’s so important to reflect on what you’ve accomplished this year before you set your new goals and resolutions for the next year.
  • What has really helped me as I look back on 2021 for myself.
  • Why beating yourself up for what you didn’t accomplish isn’t helpful.
